These are the rules for the WoT Generals 1on1 Community Cup #3 Europe. We make every effort to ensure the rules are complete and up to date but this may not always be the case. You should also check the Info Page and News for additions, exceptions and modifications that may apply. The rules are a guideline and the decisions by admins may differ from them depending on the circumstances. If you have any questions about the rules, please write a support ticket.

1. 1on1 Community Cup Rules

1.1. Rules Summary

  • Game Settings
  • Deck limitation - Tier 4 HQ's
  • Deck Power - maximum 300
  • Premium Cards - allowed, as long as deck power is maximum 300
  • Equipment is allowed

1.2. Player accounts

Every Player must have a Wargaming.net Unified Game Account (Wargaming.net ID). If a Player does not have a Wargaming.net ID, then the player is not allowed to take part in any tournament. The Electronic Sports League (ESL) Game Account has to include your World of Tanks Generals in-game Nickname on the European website.

1.3. Other competitions

In the event that a player is being found participating in any other competition, ESL or not, at the same time when the cup match is scheduled to start, we will have no choice than to disqualify the player. It is in our best interest to have a good flow in the cup and such actions are meant to preserve it.

We do not allow the cup matches to be rescheduled. All the cup matches must be played when the ESL system has scheduled them.

  • Exception to the rule - if the admin team decides to reschedule the match, then the players will have to comply. Failing to comply might result in a disqualification.

2. Match Media

In order to prove what happened during the games all players should take screenshots and keep them in case of a protest (e.g. a player shows up late).

The screenshots have to be saved for at least 7 days. It is enough if only 1 player adds the requested screenshots in the protest or match page.

2.1. Screenshots

Both players HAVE to take screenshot of the following:

It is enough if only one player uploads the screenshot to the match-sheet.

2.2. Missing screenshots

Players are responsible for uploading the screenshot to the match-sheet on the ESL website immediately after the match.

Missing Screenshots can result in a disqualification if there is no information about the match and the normal time to play the match is over!

2.3. No show

If your opponent does not show or he doesn't accept your invitation after 10 minutes over the match time, you can get a default victory. In order to receive it, you need to create a protest and provide proofs (screenshots) that your opponent didn't show up. An ESL admin will swiftly close your match once the protest is created.

The screenshot must be exactly like in the example shown below.

We reserve our right to ignore all no-show requests that are not made through the procedure explained above.

3. World of Tanks Generals specific Rules

3.2. Match Result

Both players are responsible that the correct result is entered. If there are any disagreements, the protesting party must open a protest ticket. Protests in the match-chat or statement box will not alert the admin team, therefore will not be resolved.

  • In the event a player adds a wrong result without any proofs (known as fake result), he will receive 4 penalty points and an immediate disqualification from the competition.

3.2.1. Mode: Best of 1

In this mode, players can select any decks, according to the rules. The deck must be prepared before the match time.

  • In the event the player doesn't have a prepared deck:
  • if the match is delayed with 10 minutes (calculated from the match time) - the player receives a warning
  • if the match is delayed with 20 minutes (calculated from the match time) - the player is disqualified

In the situation the player does the same in the next match, unfortunately, he will be disqualified.

3.2.2. Mode: Best of 3

  • In the event the player doesn't have a prepared deck:

  • Deck limitation - Tier 4 HQ's
  • Deck Power - maximum 300
  • Premium Cards - allowed, as long as deck power is maximum 300
  • Equipment is allowed
  • Players can have decks with HQ's from different nations

3.3.2. Creation of the match

The match can be created in-game by any player. However, if none of the players have this desire, the one that has a better seeding must take the initiative.

What is "Better Seeding"? Here's the answer:

We allow players to play their match before the scheduled time, to assure a good flow in the cup. Nevertheless, we are not forcing players to do so. If your opponent wants to start at the scheduled match time, then you will have to play it then.

3.3.2.1. Additional information

The process of creating the match is as follows:

  • add your opponent as your friend
  • challenge him
  • select your deck and press Battle

In case of a best-of-3, the time between rounds is 5 minutes. At the end of these 5 minutes, the round must start.

In the event the round doesn't start after these 5 minutes, you will have to make a screenshot to prove it.

  • the first time it happens - warning
  • the second time it happens - 1 penalty point
  • the third time it happens - 2 penalty points

3.3.3. Restart

In this competition, restarts of the matches are not possible at all. In the event a player disconnects and doesn't come back:

  • if it is best-of-1 -> the player will lose the match
  • if it is best-of-3 -> the player will lose the round
  • if the players doesn't come back in 20 minutes, he will lose the match

4. Rule modifications

The ESL Administration reserves the right to change or modify these rules and, in special cases, make decisions not covered by these rules to preserve the spirit of fair competition and sportsmanship.

5. Penalty points

In general, a player and the team can receive up to 6 penalty points per match, unless a single violation has a higher punishment. A team is only punished once per violation, regardless of how many players. Where a player or team receives penalty points for multiple violations, the penalty points are added together.
