These are the rules for the ACS Brazil Qualifier. We make every effort to ensure the rules are complete and up to date but this may not always be the case. You should also check the Info Page and News for additions, exceptions and modifications that may apply. The rules are a guideline and the decisions by admins may differ from them depending on the circumstances. If you have any questions about the rules, please write a support ticket.

1. Cup Rules

1.1. Default Wins

Under the following circumstances a participant is allowed to claim a default win by contacting a referee:

- His opponent didn't show up until 15 minutes after the match had been created on the tournament webpage. Under certain circumstances and in order to ensure fair play, the referees are allowed to increase/decrease the deadline of 15 minutes.

- His opponent has entered an invalid and/or different game account in his profile than the one he entered the game with. Referees are allowed to set a deadline for the participant to change his game account accordingly.

1.2. Results

Both players are responsible to enter a correct results on the ESL website. After the match is over loser has to confirm the result. If you have a conflict in the match, please open a protest, so the staff team can check the case and make a decision. The decision can also mean that both players are disqualified, if there is not enough proof for either player to be the clear winner.

1.3. Replays

Every participant has to save and retain all replays until the tournament is over.

By participating in the tournament, every participant confirms that all replays of the tournament may be distributed to the coverage partners. Participants should send their replays to admins after the cup.

 

1.4. Disconnects

In the event of a disconnect during the first four minutes of the match, the game will be restarted if there was no contact yet between the participants. The participants have to call a referee if the problem occurs frequently. If a participant disconnects after the fourth minute has passed, it is up to his opponent whether the match will be restarted or not. A referee needs to be informed no matter the decision! If the disconnected participant was clearly winning the match, the replay needs to be send to a referee who will then decide whether the match has to be restarted or not. In case of a rematch the participants have to choose the same races they picked in the initial match. If a participant chose random races, he has to pick the race which he eventually ended up playing as in the initial match.

1.5. Cheats & Bans

1. The use of cheats, hacks, third-party tools, smurfing or any violations against rules are strictly forbidden and will result in a disqualification from the tournament. 2. It is forbidden to watch or to listen to any sort of broadcast of your own matches while the match is still underway. 3. Admins reserve the right to ban participants from the tournament because they have been banned from other leagues or tournaments for cheating or unfair behaviour. Any kind of unmannered behavior (insulting, profanity etc.) will cause ban as per referee's decision at any stage of tournament. 4. Technical lose is given for using the following game bugs: - infinite invulnerability (during teleportation and cancellation of teleport to a moving Tree of Life) - staff of the Goblin Zeppelin by the hero with this hero jumping inside of zeppelin - using Blademaster Wind Walk ability on the laid out items to jump over buildings (the rule applies only to objects, but not to units) 5. The player has the right to take a break in the game for up to 5 minutes. If the pause is prolonged, the opponent has the right to call for the techwin by referee's decision. Players who have qualified for the final may take a break for 15 minutes before the first game. The following breaks between games are no more than 5 minutes.

1.6. Rule Violation

Any breach of the rules may be punished with a default loss or a disqualification.

2. Penalty Point Catalogue

In general, a player and the team can receive up to 6 penalty points per match, unless a single violation has a higher punishment. A team is only punished once per violation, regardless of how many players. Where a player or team receives penalty points for multiple violations, the penalty points are added together.
