These are the rules for the Tricky Towers (PS4) 1on1 ESL Japan Cup #17. We make every effort to ensure the rules are complete and up to date but this may not always be the case. You should also check the Info Page and News for additions, exceptions and modifications that may apply. The rules are a guideline and the decisions by admins may differ from them depending on the circumstances. If you have any questions about the rules, please write a support ticket.
1.1. Failure to appear / No Show
Each player has 15 minutes to show up to a match. (Time from Point 2.2 +15 minutes). Showing up after 15 minutes result in a default loss. The player that is waiting must open a protest ticket or try to communicate with an ESL Admin via the ESL match chat in order to get a default win. Please keep in mind, if a player did show up in time, but needs to leave the lobby to sort an issue, it does not count as a no show if he's not back after match date + 15 minutes. Abuse of this exception will lead into a default loss of the match.
1.2. Lobby Host
Any player participating at the game can be the lobby host.

1.3.1. Selecting the wrong Lobby Settings
The usage of the wrong lobby settings result in a remake of the lobby at the first instance and will result on a default loss of the round if it happens again. Please reach the admin team to solve the issue in case it happens.
1.4. Game preparations
Please resolve any problems that might occur before a match starts. Connection or Hardware Problems during a match could lead into a disqualification by ESL admins. Starting to play the match means that you agree with the pre-match situation (eg. if a player showed up late and the game started nevertheless, the late show up is invalid after that point).
- Agreements between the players need to be posted as match comments.
- Make sure the match is played with the right lobby settings.
1.5. Starting the Game
As soon as both players are on the same round the game must start. This means that if both players get a default win on the first round (for not having an opponent or any other circumstances), even if the match page states a different match time hour, the match must start.
2.1. Illegal Actions
Any actions that result in an unfair advantage are illegal. This includes bug abuse of any kind.
3. After the Match
If there is a technical problem that requires a rematch, contact an admin.
Both players are responsible to enter a correct results. Therefore both players must take a screenshot at the end of the match, where we can see the correct result, and then upload when submitting the result. If you have a conflict in the match, please open a ticket, so the staff team can check the case and take a decision. The decision can also mean that both players are disqualified, if there is not enough proof for either player to be the clear winner.
