SFV Brooklyn Beatdown Open Cup #1 Brazil
Last change: 18.04.2019 12:11
These are the rules for the SFV Brooklyn Beatdown Open Cup #1 Brazil. We make every effort to ensure the rules are complete and up to date but this may not always be the case. You should also check the Info Page and News for additions, exceptions and modifications that may apply. The rules are a guideline and the decisions by admins may differ from them depending on the circumstances. If you have any questions about the rules, please write a support ticket.
1. Cup Rules
1.1. No Show
Both players have to add each other on PlayStation® Network/Steam/Capcom Fighter Network. If your opponent does not show up after 15 minutes, you must enter the result as your opponent did not appear in time. Do not enter a default win for yourself. Please open a protest ticket with screenshot evidence that the player did not show up.
To keep the delay during the cup as short as possible we reserve the right to disqualify players from the tournament. This will only be done in cases when a player shows no real effort to complete a match or is obviously avoiding their opponent. In more drastic cases this can be applied to both players.
1.3. Match Result
After each match, both players have to enter and confirm the match result. Always record the result using a screenshot.
All match media (screenshots, demos, etc) must be kept for at least 14 days. In general, you should upload the match media from a match to the match page as soon as possible. Faking or manipulating match media is of course forbidden and will result in severe penalties. Match media should be named clearly based on what it is. It is not possible to file a protest or write a support ticket to complain about bad match media naming. However, if an admin is hindered in his work because of bad match media names, penalty points can be assigned.
We suggest to take a screenshot of all situations during a game, the screenshots will be used by and admin in protests and should be uploaded on request.
1.5. Match Closure
A match has to be closed within 10 minutes after the match has finished, if there is no protest from the players. The staff team will close matches without a protest, if the deadline is reached and the match wasn't closed by the participants. A player has only 10 minutes to complain about a missing screenshots, incorrect result, etc., so please make sure to check everything directly after your match is played. If the opposing player does not open a protest nor accept the score it has to be reported via support ticket immediately!
We strongly recommend installing the ESL Play App to check match statuses and report results, if necessary.
2. Match Rules
2.1. Nicknames Compulsory
Each player has to use the nickname that is entered in his/her ESL player sheet. In team matches the players are allowed to use a clan tag which has to be the same for all players of the team.
In order to start a match it is necessary to login onto the PlayStation® Network/Steam/Capcom Fighter Network and invite each other. Afterwards can you start the match using the game settings outlined in the cup rules.
Using bugs or glitches is strictly forbidden. If any unknown bugs or glitches are used, an Admin will review the case and decide if a penalty is necessary.
For competing in Street Fighter V tournaments and leagues a Gameaccount is needed. This ID must be entered in your ESL Play profile. This entry has to be done via the sign up widget on a tournament page. Without an entered account, you will not eligible to compete.
2.5. Gameaccount Change
If needed, you can change of your Gameaccount. In order to do so, navigate to the sign up widget on a tournament page.
3. Penalty Point Catalogue
In general, a player and the team can receive up to 6 penalty points per match, unless a single violation has a higher punishment. A team is only punished once per violation, regardless of how many players. Where a player or team receives penalty points for multiple violations, the penalty points are added together.
