PGI EU Qualifiers presented by ESL

The PUBG Global Invitational is here!

ESL is proud to host the European qualifiers for the PUBG Global Invitational in 2018. 20 teams will make their way from the online stage to the offline finals. 3 of the best teams in the region will secure their place from the offline final in Leicester, UK to the PGI main event in Berlin, Germany!

Out of the 20 teams in the main event 3 teams will come from Europe, 3 teams from North America, 3 from Asia, 2 from the CIS region, 2 from the Republic of Korea, 2 from China, 2 from Japan, 1 from Oceania and 1 team from Middle East/North Africa. Each of them have to battle their way through grueling online and regional qualifiers.

The EU qualifier will feature:
  • 1280 teams through open sign ups
  • All spots first-come-first-serve during the check-in phase

Structure:

Three rounds of Open Qualifiers:
  • Round 1 - 640 teams, 32 groups, four matches, top 10 of each group go through to Round 2
  • Round 2 - 320 teams, 16 groups, six matches, the top 5 of each group go through to Round 3
  • Round 3 - 80 teams, 4 groups, eight matches, the top 5 teams from each group qualify for offline final
Offline Final:
  • 20 teams from the online qualifier
  • Played in Leicester, UK, Friday 29th of June to Sunday 1st of July 2018
  • Prize distribution:
    • 1. 20,000$ and a spot in the PGI finals
    • 2. 16,000$ and a spot in the PGI finals
    • 3. 12,000$ and a spot in the PGI finals
    • 4. 8,000$
    • 5.-6. 6,000$
    • 7.-10. 4,000$
    • 11.-16. 2,000$
    • 17.-20. 1,000$
PGI Main event:
  • 20 teams from all over the world
  • Played in Berlin, Germany, Wednesday 25th of July to Sunday 29th of July 2018

Please do not sign up to the tournament unless you are at least 18 years old and absolutely certain you will be able to attend the offline final event!

The PUBG Global Invitational EU Qualifier Final 2018 takes place in the United Kingdom from Friday 29th of June to Sunday 1st of July. To attend the main event you must be able to travel to and stay in the United Kingdom for at least June 27th to July 2nd.

For most players residing outside of the UK this will mean having at least an up to date passport with at least 6 months validity from June 27th and having some kind of visa or visa waiver for the UK or be part of the eligible countries without visa. If in doubt please check VisaHQ and with your local government.

The main PGI event will take place in Berlin, Germany. As such the game is treated as a USK-18 title. This means we cannot accept anyone under the age of 18 to participate in the event due to German law. There are no exceptions to this rule.
