These are the rules for the MC5 (Android) 5on5 April Cup #1 2019. We make every effort to ensure the rules are complete and up to date but this may not always be the case. You should also check the Info Page and News for additions, exceptions and modifications that may apply. The rules are a guideline and the decisions by admins may differ from them depending on the circumstances. If you have any questions about the rules, please write a support ticket.

1. General Rules*ESL reserves the right to make any changes to these rules at any time for any reason. Players are responsible for understanding and operating on the latest version of these rules at all times.*
Every Player must have a MC5 Dogtag entered in his ESL profile, otherwise the player is not allowed to take part in any ESL tournament.
If a team uses a player without a properly associated ESL Game Account, the following penalties will be given:
- Team will receive 3 penalty points
- Player will receive 3 penalty points, which can be deleted once the game account is entered correctly in the profile
If a teams uses more than 1 player without a properly associated ESL Game Account, the following penalties will be given:
- Team will receive 6 penalty points and will be immediately disqualified
- Each player will receive 3 penalty points, which can be deleted once the game account is entered correctly in the profile
1.2. Glitched Dogtag
A player with a glitched Dogtag is not allowed to participate in the cup, this will lead to immediate disqualification (proof using the in-game player search function in video form). We only consider a glitched dogtag to be in violation of our rule if it's gliched during an official ESL match.
1.3. Roster & Substitute Player
Team rosters must consist of minimum 5 players to participate in a cup. Teams are only allowed to play with players on their roster. All roster changes must be made prior to the start of a cup. Playing with different players and/or illegal ringers will result in punishment. A player may remove himself from a team for any reason at any time by submitting a support ticket.
Substitutes can begin playing in a match at all time. Keep in mind that the substitute must have been on the team roster before the cup started.
1.4. Team & Player Names
ESL reserves the right to edit Nicknames and/or URL aliases. Team or player names that are too similar to that of another team or player are subject to be changed by ESL. For more information on team and player names, please refer to the ESL Global Ruleset section 3.1.2. “Nicknames, Team Names and URL Aliases.” If a team name has been wrongly seized, please file a support ticket with proof of ownership of the name. Team and player information will not be allowed to change once a cup has begun.
1.5. Ringer & Faker Rules
Only registered team members are allowed to play for a team. Playing in any match with a ringer is prohibited. Players and teams must compete under their officially registered team names during all official matches. Teams that are caught competing with an ineligible player will be disqualified from the tournament. There are no exceptions.
1.6. Technical Issues
Teams are responsible for their own technical issues (hardware/internet). Matches will not be rescheduled because of technical issues and matches will be played nevertheless. If problems arise, please open a match protest.
1.7. Player Disconnects
If a player disconnects within the first 15 seconds of the game and no kills have been made prior to the disconnect, the game will be restarted. Find game mode specific rules below.Team Battle
If a player disconnects after the first kill or the first 15 seconds of a Team battle game, the game will continue. The disconnected player is allowed to re-join as soon as he is able.
1.8. Abandoning / Forfeit
In the event a team is online, has played at least 1 round but it is not responding within 15 minutes to any of the contact ways that we have on ESL Play (Chat, Protest ticket or Personal Message), the team will receive a default loss for the remaining rounds.
- Note: please keep in mind that the opponent or the admin are not forced to contact you through all ways
1.9. Admins & Official Streamers
Admins and/or official streamers are always allowed to join any battle played in ESL competitions to spectate. If an admin or an official streamer asks you the room password of a match played in an ESL competition, you have to provide it.
If you refuse to invite the admin and/or the broadcaster, the following penalties will be given out:
- the first time it happens, immediate disqualification from the cup.
- the second time it happens, immediate disqualification from the cup and 4 penalty points for the team
- the third time it happens, immediate disqualification from the cup and 1 month ban from all ESL competition for the team and its' players.
If the official streamer is kicked from the match in any way, you will be disqualified from the cup.
2. Game Rules
2.1. Tournament Settings

- Match time: 7 minutes
- Mode: Best of 3 & Best of 5 in Finals
2.2. Tournament Game Platform
The tournament is currently being played on the Android game platform.
- Teams that are being found playing from another game platform will be disqualified immediately without any warning.

2.5.1. Weapons, armors & classes
- Class: Marauder
- Armors: Tier 4-5 armor.
- Grenades: Concussion
- Weapons: Shoulder gun, Prestige Weapons (Both T8-T9), SLS, M.U.C., Lak (on morph)
Using any of the above mentioned will result in a direct disqualification from the tournament.
3. Match Procedure
All teams are required to check in 30 minutes prior to the start of the tournament to confirm their attendance. Failure to check in before the scheduled cup start time will result in exclusion from the bracket.
When your match becomes available, navigate to “My Matches” on the right of the cup page. The game host must ensure that all players are invited to the game lobby via Non-Ranked matches in-game.
The lobby host is responsible for ensuring that all settings are correct. The lobby host is responsible for taking screenshots to provide as proof in the event of a setting dispute.
The host may take up to 5 minutes to set up the match between games. Failure to create and start the game with the correct settings will result in a forfeit of that map.Map 1: Higher seeded team must host, lower seeded team must choose sides

The highest seed is 1. The seeds can be found in the tournament bracket as small numbers under the team names.
3.2. Lobby settings

3.3. Delays & Forfeits
Teams must be online and ready to play at the designated match start time. “Ready to play” means that all five players of each team must be present and ready to begin the game within 15 minutes after the official match time. If a participant is not ready to play 15 minutes after the scheduled match time, please submit a protest ticket. This is the fastest way to get your match checked to move on to the next round. In case the bracket is already behind the schedule the 15 minutes counter starts as soon as the match is available. If your team is unable to join a lobby due to technical difficulties with the game, please notify the opposing team immediately and inform them that you are attempting to connect. If problems arise, please submit a support ticket.
3.4. Match Reporting
Players are responsible for taking a screen capture of the results to be used as valid proof in the event of a protest. Following the match, both teams are expected to enter the match score. The score should be entered as numerical values where one win equals one point. For example, if a team wins 2 games and loses 1 game, the score submitted should be “2” and “1” with the numbers being entered into the respective boxes.
Results must be reported by both teams within 10 minutes after the match. If a team does not dispute match results within 10 minutes after completion of the match, the submitted results will be locked in. If results are submitted incorrectly, submit a ticket immediately.
3.5. Match Disputes
If there are any irregularities in the submitted scores, contact administration via protest with valid proof. Match protests must include media evidence clearly showing the results of the match/series.
All match media (screenshots, demos, etc) must be kept for at least 15 days. In general, you should upload the match media from a match to the match page as soon as possible. Faking or manipulating match media is of course forbidden and will result in severe penalties. Match media should be named clearly based on what it is. It is not possible to file a protest or write a support ticket to complain about bad match media naming. However, if an admin is hindered in their work because of bad match media names then it can be punished for.
A screenshot of the on-screen results must be made of every game that is played. The screenshots must be uploaded onto the page with the match details as soon as possible after the game has ended. One screenshot showing each result (e.g. per each round) is needed and can be uploaded by either the winners or the losers.
4. Penalty point catalogue
4.1. Penalty Point Catalogue
In general, a player and the team can receive up to 6 penalty points per match, unless a single violation has a higher punishment. A team is only punished once per violation, regardless of how many players. Where a player or team receives penalty points for multiple violations, the penalty points are added together.

Matches get only deleted if the team/player violating the rules won the match.
