How do I create an account?
Creating an account is simple, fast and free. Just click on "Login/register" button in the main menu and you will be forwarded to the registration form. You can register with your e-mail address or many other different methods. You will be able to find more details and the next steps in our step by step guide.
I can't login / I have lost my password!
If you setup MFA method for your account, lost the access to the device and backup codes then unfortunately your account is lost. Support will not be able to assist you.
If you have not configured MFA method and can't login, forgot your password or the e-mail address doesn’t exist anymore - get in touch with the support for assistance.
- Provide us with a link/id to your account
- Provide us with information that only you could know or have access to (non public account data, screenshots of gameaccounts)
- In case you didn't add enough data for us to verify you will need to create a new account
Click on the Teams icon next to your profile link. Continue by clicking on the "Create team" button. Once you have done so, you'll be asked to enter a name and create your team.
How do I sign up for a ladder or cup?
Click Games in the main menu or click Browse games in a landing page. Then choose your game and edition you intend to play on. Here you'll find some cups listed in the content area. You are also able to browse your regional portal for upcoming cups of various games. Once you find a league or cup you'd like to participate, select it and check out the league widget on the right side for more details regarding that cup. You will be able to find more details in the step by step guide.
I received a cool-down for leaving my team. What does this mean?
When leaving a team that is still part of active tournaments, you receive a cool-down period (also known as leagueban) that is by default 5 days. During this period, you can't be part of the same tournaments as your former team.
What is the check in? How does it work?
The check in ensures that the signed up players are online and ready for the cup. In the first step you sign up for a cup, with the check in starting 30 minutes prior to cup start. Late signup phase (if enabled) opens 10 or 15 minutes before the start of the cup. In late signup participants have last chance to signup for the cup including players that did not check in. You will be able to find more information in the step by step guide.
I am signed up to a ladder/cup, what now?
In the ladder you can start playing right away. Challenge opponents, set match dates and play your matches. A cup has a fixed start date. After the check-in ends, the bracket will be created and you will get your match. All match details, next opponents and more actions are now listed on the cup page on the right side. You will be able to find more details about it in the step by step guide.
I have a problem in my match, what now?
Try to solve it by contacting your opponent. If this will not help you should contact the ESL Staff. You can file a protest ticket through the right side widget on the cup page. This is the best way to solve a problem, because you and your opponent will be able to respond to the protest. For all other problems or questions you should contact the support team.
How do I cancel my premium subscription?
You can manage your premium subscription by doing the following steps:
- Access ESL Premium page
- Click on the yellow "Get Premium" button
- Click on the small arrow located on the upper right corner, close to the "X"
- Click on "Manage subscription" in the menu
There you will be able to manage all your account settings, which includes an option to cancel your Premium subscription, and also disable any recurring payment which may be enabled.
How can I change my nickname?
In the main menu on the right where you can find your photo, click ▼ next to the letter icon, then click Manage ESL account. You will be redirected to ESL ID where you can edit any personal information you would like, including a nickname.
I bought Premium but I can't see my account with Premium status. What happened?
You may be experiencing a cache issue with your browser. Simply clear the browser cache in your profile (Ctrl+F5 or Shift+F5, depending on the browser). You can make sure that you got you Premium purchase by accessing ESL Premium page and then clicking "Get Premium" button on it.
