These are the rules for the Hearthstone 1on1 Open Cup Series Finał Poland. We make every effort to ensure the rules are complete and up to date but this may not always be the case. You should also check the Info Page and News for additions, exceptions and modifications that may apply. The rules are a guideline and the decisions by admins may differ from them depending on the circumstances. If you have any questions about the rules, please write a support ticket.

1. Match Media

All match media (screenshots, demos, etc) must be kept for at least 14 days. In general, you should upload the match media from a match to the match page as soon as possible. Faking or manipulating match media is of course forbidden and will result in severe penalties. Match media should be named clearly based on what it is. It is not possible to file a protest or write a support ticket to complain about bad match media naming. However, if an admin is hindered in his work because of bad match media names, penalty points can be assigned.

1.1. Screenshots

Missing Screenshots in the ESL can lead into penalty points and match delete.

2. Match rules

2.1. Regions restrictions

There is no region restriction. You can play in all tournaments.

2.2. Game modes

  • Leaving a challenge once a match has been played will result in a loss for the player who left the challenge!
  • Bugs: Clientbugs count as a disconnect for the player who has the bug!
  • From now on every player has to send a screenshot of their deck selection screen to their opponent! Here are two examples of what IS okay! Example #1 and Example #2
  • Here is an example of a deck selection which IS NOT okay!
Players who don't want to send screenshots of their deck selection screens to their opponents will be punished with a disqualification from the tournament!

Players who have multiple heroes in their deck selection screen will be punished with a 1-0 lead for their opponent

2.3. No show

If your opponent is not present 15 minutes after the matchdate, you have to write that in the matchcomments and contact an admin in the cupchat. This is the fastest way to get your match checked, as the admins can not check all matches of a tournament manually.

2.4. Match Breakup

Every player is responsible of his internet connection and hardware-software environment. Leaving a server on purpose is not allowed and leads to a round loss.

2.5. Spectators

Spectators in the Lobby are allowed only if both players agree. Exception to this rule are the ESL tournament admins and people that are explicitly allowed to spectate by a tournament admin (e.g. shout casters or streamers). It can't be refused to invite an official ESL caster ( e.g. ESL TV ), if an ESL tournament admin asks you for an invite.

Players should only allow spectators in a Lobby they trust. It is not allowed to protest after a match is played to complain about spectators that were allowed in the game.

2.5.1. Casting

Casting an ESL match is only allowed with an ESL admin agreement. To get an agreement please write a Support ticket.

2.5.2. Personal Streaming

Personal Streaming is always allowed if ESL TV is not casting a match. If ESL TV is casting a match, personal streaming not allowed without an admin agreement. Personal Streaming of a match shown by ESL TV, without permission from am ESL admin, can lead into a disqualification of the team or ban of the streaming player in the tournament.

3. Penalty Point Catalogue

In general, a player and the team can receive up to 6 penalty points per match, unless a single violation has a higher punishment.
