Quick Rules

Attention: Only legal residents of Europe are allowed to participate in the European HCS. In order to participate in the Halo Championship Series: Pro League, you must meet the following requirements: You must be a registered player on the ESL website. You must have an active Xbox Live account in good standing and add it to your profile under gameaccounts. A team in good standing may participate in the HCS as determined by 343 and ESL at their sole discretion. You must be a legal resident in countries part of the European Union and reside in one of these territories for the duration of the competition. Players must be able to provide proof of residency upon request. Examples of accepted proofs of residency include but are not limited to: a dated utility bill including your name and address, a tenancy agreement with your full name and all the information about how long you have lived in your current address, a valid voter registration card, or government issued ID. If you are under the age of 18, proof may be provided by your legal parent or guardian. You must be 16 years of age, and must have permission from a legal parent or guardian or be at least 18 years of age. Photo ID may be required to be submitted to League Officials before a team plays in the first match of the Pro League. Prior to the start of the Regular season, each player must respond to the official request stating that they have received and agree to abide by the rules in this document. If you do not meet these requirements, you will be deemed ineligible to compete. ESL reserves the right to evaluate a player’s gamertag to determine the location of players that are competing. Employees of 343, ESL, Microsoft or Comcast are not eligible to play while working at their respective companies.

Match Progress
When the cup begins check “My Matches” and contact your opponent via Xbox Live to start the match. The higher seed will host the first map. Host will alternate each game. If both teams have completed their previous round, please start the game immediately. The time on the match page is irrelevant.

Team Colors
The higher seeded team will always be Red. The lower seeded team will always be Blue.

Settings
Before a game begins, verify that you are using the latest HCS Summer 2017 version 3 maps and setting rules.
All rounds will be best of 3.
The latest HCS Summer Settings will be used.
The format is Double Elimination.
The top 6 teams will advance to the Sunday Closed Qualifier.

Map Rotation
The maps and gametypes for each round will be updated on Friday prior to the event and will be located HERE.

Score Disputes
Both teams should report match scores at the end of each series. If there are any inconsistencies in the reported scores, please contact us via support with valid proof. Team captains are responsible for taking pictures of the post-game summaries or providing video evidence for proper proof. Uploading clips to xboxclips.com is the best way to provide video evidence.
