Budapest will host V4 Future Sports Festival, Hungary's very first, world class, international esports event between 23-25 March 2018. Esport players from Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia may enter alone or with a team in four different esports titles - League of Legends, Counter-strike: Global Offensive, Clash Royale and FIFA18 - at the V4 Future Sports Festival, which has a total prize pool of EUR 1 million. The tournament, for which entry is free of charge, is hosted by Egymillióan a magyar esportért Egyesület with support from the Hungarian Digital Welfare Program.
Association of Egymillióan a magyar esportért started as a bottom-up movement of the Hungarian e-sports community in 2013. The group, working through on-line and social media platforms, became an NGO in 2016. Their goals include social responsibility, which emphasises changing social prejudices against video games and underlining the importance of physical activity and sports.
