First Season of South East Europe Championship
The first official season of South East Europe Championship is here and ready to start! It's now time to see once again who are the best players from each region that can create the best show for their fans. With great honor and sacrifice, you can show everyone that you are the best representative from your country to challenge the champions from other regions.

What is South East Europe Championship?

The ESL South East Europe Championship (ESL SEE) Championship is a multigame eSports competition for the geographical region of South East Europe organized by the ESL. Its purpose is to foster the competitive scene in the region by enabling the gamers from different countries to compete and increase their skill and receive visibility, while providing high-quality and region-relevant entertainment for the fans.

It features 6 main regions with a total of 15 countries described below:
Single countries regions:
Hungary, Bulgaria, Turkey
Multi-country regions:
Greece and Cyprus
Romania and Moldova
Adriatic (Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia (FYROM), Malta, Albania)

What games does it feature?

There are 3 main popular games that are featured in the ESL South East Europe Championship. Those are: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone and League of Legends! All the details about them can be seen on the official website of the competition, shown below:

Important rule about teams & eligibility

There's one very important rule about the eligibility of teams in the South East Europe Championship. The rule differs from game to game.

For League of Legends - a team is considered eligible for the competition if it has in it's active line-up at least 4 out of 5 mandatory players from the SEE region that it applies for.

For CS:GO - a team is considered eligible for the competition if it has in it's active line-up at least 3 out of 5 mandatory players from the SEE region that it applies for.

What are the prizes?

The total prize money that we offer in the last stage is 5000 EURO. You can see below the breakdown of prize money per game:

What is the system?

The system of the ESL South East Europe Championship is based on two regional qualifiers with a national final! Only the top4 players/teams from each qualifier will get into the final national qualifier. The top X participants will qualify for the main round, where X is the number of slots for the given game and region (see the table below for info).

In the main round, we will have 16 participants in each game, divided in 4 groups of 4 each. From each group 2 participants will advance into the next phase of the championship: The Online Play-offs! The Online Play-offs will determine the qualified participants to the offline event in Bucharest, at East European Comic Con, on the 9th-10th of May.
