These are the rules for the Go4FIFA (PS4) Europe Cup #32 powered by Scuf Gaming. We make every effort to ensure the rules are complete and up to date but this may not always be the case. You should also check the Info Page and News for additions, exceptions and modifications that may apply. The rules are a guideline and the decisions by admins may differ from them depending on the circumstances. If you have any questions about the rules, please write a support ticket.

1. Cup Rules

As soon as both players are in the same round the match must start. This means that if both players get a default win on the first round (for not having an opponent or any other circumstances), even if the match page states a different match time hour, the match must start.

1.1. No show

Each player has 15 minutes to show up to a match. (Time from Point 1. +15 minutes). Not showing up within 15 minutes results in a default loss. The player that is waiting must open a ticket in order to get a default win.

1.2. Results

Both players are responsible to enter a correct results on the ESL website. Therefore both players have to take a screenshot at the end of the match, where we can see the correct result and they need to upload it after the match to the ESL website. If you have a conflict in the match, please open a protest, so the staff team can check the case and take a decision. The decision can also mean that both players are disqualified, if there is not enough proof for either player to be the clear winner.

1.3. Protests

If a match was incorrectly reported by your opponents, you have 10 minutes to protest the report. ESL reserves the right to decrease this period in case of drastic delays. Match protests must include media evidence clearly showing the results of the match/series. Players are responsible for providing proof of match results in case of disputes.

1.4. Golden Goal

If the game ends in a draw, a new match with the same teams and settings must be played. The new match is over when one of the players scores a goal. A screenshot of the result of both matches must be uploaded in order to confirm the result.

2. Match media

All match media (screenshots and videos) must be kept for at least 15 days. In general, you should upload the match media from a match as soon as possible. Faking or manipulating match media is of course forbidden and will result in severe penalties.

2.1. Screenshots

Both participants are responsible that screenshots of the match result are uploaded at the end of the match. The screenshots must contain the nickname of both participants and the match result. Also, we recommend that players take screenshots of disputable situations (such as Disconnects, Game Settings problems, etc.). These screenshots can and will be used as evidence in case of a dispute. You can take a screenshot by holding down the “Share” button in your controller. Here are 2 examples of a valid screenshot of the game result: Screenshot 1 and Screenshot 2

3. Settings

All players are subject to follow the following settings. Game settings agreements are not allowed.

3.1. Lobby

You can create a match via the Online Friendlies option in the "Play" menu using the following settings

  • Half length: 6 minutes
  • Controls: Any
  • Game Speed: Normal
  • Squad Type: Online

3.2. Team Selection

The participants are allowed to play with any team available in the game.

  1. Add opponent to friends list
  2. Go to the online tab

  4. Select the 'Lobby' settings found in point 3.1.
  5. Invite your opponent
  6. Start the match

4.2. Connection Issues

If you experience connection issues in your match, please record this, leave your match and open a protest with your evidence. Please note that you must leave the match before any goals or red cards have been awarded.

4.3. About red cards

If there is a connection loss and the match has to be continued, then the same players that had a red card before have to get them again. Only then the match can be continued.

4.4. Bugs

The exploit of bugs is forbidden. If any other bugs not mentioned below are used, a protest ticket must be open. An admin will decide whether a punishment is necessary.

4.4.1. Known Bugs

Modifying the rating of a player (for example, change the rating to 99) is punishable with six (6) penalty points and one (1) month tournament ban.

5. Penalty Point Catalogue

In general, a player and the team can receive up to 6 penalty points per match, unless a single violation has a higher punishment.
