Quick Rules
Tournament Restrictions
Only teams from Europe, Africa and CIS are allowed to participate.
Tournament Rules:
When do I play my games?
At the top of the page you can see the schedule for each round. The teams need to play their round between the start of that round and 2 hours before the start of the next round (for example, round 1 can be played between Friday, 19 CEST and Monday, 17 CEST). We recommend you to play the matches at the time the round starts. This will make your game experience better. All matches that are not played until the end of the round will be closed.
Important Notice:
It's not mandatory to play at default time. However, it's mandatory to suggest a new date at least until 1 hour after the default time.
I.e. an alternative date to play must be presented until 20:00 CEST of the day that round starts. This doesn't mean that the match date must be agreed by both teams within this time frame, only that an alternative date must be given if you can't play at default time.
Make sure you use the ESL match chat on the bottom right side of the page in order to communicate with your opponents. If you can't communicate with your opponent, please open a Protest ticket.
What happens if a team doesn't play at default time and fails to present alternative date?
In case a team is not able to play on the default date and does not communicate an alternative date within the 1 hour time frame given, that team will get a default loss of the match.
What happens if a team doesn't answer my messages or if we can't agree with a match date?
When you are having issues with your match please open a protest ticket using the Cup Widget on the right side of the page in order to get in touch with an admin. The admin will help you with your issue.
What if the the teams can't agree with a new schedule?
In case teams cannot agree with a match date, the team with the most availability will get a default win of the match.
Inactivity Points: what are they?
Teams that do not show up to their rounds will get a inactivity point. When a team gets 3 inactivity points, they will get disqualified from the pre-season qualifier.
What happens if I am disqualified from this competition?
Signing up to the pre-season qualifier gives you access to the first season of the Dota 2 Major League. Being disqualified from the pre-season qualifier removed that sign-up, so if you are disqualified from the pre-season qualifier you will need to sign-up here.
Only teams from Europe, Africa and CIS are allowed to participate.
Tournament Rules:
- Game Mode: Best of One
- Mode: Captains Mode
- First pick and side choosing: The team at the left side of the match page chooses the side (Radiant or Dire), the team on the right side chooses the drafting order
