These are the rules for the CR 1on1 Copa Nocturna#2 Latinoamérica. We make every effort to ensure the rules are complete and up to date but this may not always be the case. You should also check the Info Page and News for additions, exceptions and modifications that may apply. The rules are a guideline and the decisions by admins may differ from them depending on the circumstances. If you have any questions about the rules, please write a support ticket.

1. Tournament Rules

1.1. Tournament Settings

  • Match type: 1v1
  • Match time: 3 minutes
  • Mode: Best of 3

All matches must be played as a normal match and not as any other game mode or special challenge.

1.2. Decks & Cards

Players can use any cards they wish in their deck. A player can change his deck between battles.

2. Match Rules

2.1. Official Clan List

2.1.1. Assigned clan is full

In case the assigned clan in the match page is full, the players need to contact each other via ESL match chat and decide other official clan to meet in. In case one player is in the assigned clan and the other can't join because the clan is full, the player that can't join needs to contact his opponent via ESL match chat and decide other official clan to meet in.

2.2. Battle invitation

For a best of 3 match, each player needs to send a friendly battle invite. The player that is on the left side in the match page needs to start first. Player on the left side of the match page creates the first friendly battle request Player on the right side of the match page creates the second friendly battle request Player on the left side of the match page creates the third friendly battle request Penalties for not following this rule: The first time the order is not respected during the competition, the player will receive a warning The second time the order is not respected during the competition, the player will be disqualified from the tournament

2.3. Player drops

If a player loses connection during an ongoing battle, he loses that battle. Note: a match consists of maximum 3 battles The player has 5 minutes to reconnect after the lost connection, otherwise he will be granted a default loss of the match.

2.4. Failure to appear / No Show

Each player has 15 minutes to show up to a match (match start date +15 minutes). Showing up after 15 minutes will result in a default loss. The player that is waiting must open a protest ticket in order to request the default win. Please keep in mind, if a player did show up in time, but needs to leave to sort an issue, it does not count as a no show if he's not back after match date + 15 minutes. Abuse of this exception will lead into a default loss of the match. Please open a protest ticket if you feel that the player is abusing this rule.

2.5. Results

Both players are responsible to enter a correct results on the ESL website. Therefore both players have to take a screenshot at the end of the match, where we can see the correct result, and then upload it to the ESL website. If you have a conflict with the match result, please open a protest ticket. Both players can be disqualified if there is not enough proof to declare a winner.

2.6. Abandoning / Forfeit

In the event a player is online, has played at least 1 battle but it is not responding within 10 minutes to any of the contact ways that we have on ESL Play (Chat, Protest ticket or Personal Message), he will be granted a default loss, resulting in a tournament disqualification.

2.7. Screenshots

A screenshot of the on-screen results must be made for every game that is played. The screenshots must be uploaded onto the page with the match details as soon as possible after the game has ended. One screenshot showing each result (e.g. per each round) is needed and can be uploaded by either the winner or the loser.

3. Penalty Point Catalogue

In general, a player and the team can receive up to 6 penalty points per match, unless a single violation has a higher punishment. A team is only punished once per violation, regardless of how many players. Where a player or team receives penalty points for multiple violations, the penalty points are added together.

1In cup and league matches default wins are given instead of a match deletion and penalty points.

Matches get only deleted if the team/player violating the rules won the match.

4. Cup Rules

4.1. Default Win / No Show

You can request a default win, 15 minutes afterward you've tried to contact with your opponent. In that case, please, open a protest ticket on that match. However, in special cases, an admin can decide if a match must be played.

4.2. Results

Both players are responsible to enter a correct results on the ESL website. Therefore both players have to take a screenshot at the end of the match, where we can see the correct result and they need to upload it after the match to the ESL website. If you have a conflict in the match, please open a protest, so the staff team can check the case and take a decision. The decision can also mean that both players are disqualified, if there is not enough proof for either player to be the clear winner.

4.3. Players drops

If a player loses connection during an ongoing battle, then he is going to lose that battle.
Note: a match consists of maximum 3 battles.
The player has 5 minutes to reconnect after he loses connection, otherwise he will lose the entire match.

4.4. Leave / Forfeit

In the event a player is online, has played at least 1 battle but it is not responding within 10 minutes to any of the contact ways that we have on ESL Play (Chat, Protest ticket or Personal Message), he will receive a default loss for the remaining battles.
Note: please keep in mind that the opponent or the admin are not forced to contact you through all ways.

4.5. Tiebreaker

In case of tie, the winner is who have more health on their towers. If still there are tie, a new game should be played.

5.2.1. Assigned clan is full

In case the assigned clan in the match page is full, the players need to contact each other via ESL match chat and decide other official clan to meet in.

5.3. Decks & Cards

Players can use any cards they wish in their deck (except on competitions that setting otherwise). A player can change his deck between battles.

For each match on best of 3, each player needs to send a friendly battle invite.

  • Player on the left side of the match page creates the first friendly battle request.
  • Player on the right side of the match page creates the second friendly battle request.
  • Player on the left side of the match page creates the third friendly battle request if required.

6. Matchmedia

All match media (screenshots, demos, etc) must be kept for at least 15 days. In general, you should upload the match media from a match to the match page as soon as possible. Faking or manipulating match media is of course forbidden and will result in severe penalties. Match media should be named clearly based on what it is. It is not possible to file a protest or write a support ticket to complain about bad match media naming. However, if an admin is hindered in their work because of bad match media names then it can be punished for.

6.1. Screenshots

One screenshot showing each result (e.g. per each round) is needed and can be uploaded by either the winners or the losers.
Missing, incomplete or manipulated screenshots are reason of punish and the match can be deleted by the admin team.

7. Support/Protest

You can contact with administration at any time through ​support tickets. ESL Play LatinAmerica Admin team will attend to you as soon as possible. In case you need to communicate any problem in a match during the competition, you must open a protest in your party. Protests made more than 10 minutes after the match has closed may be considered invalid. When there is a problem, always try to contact the administration, before, during or at the end of the battle.

If you have detected an irregularity or problem before starting the game you must open a protest to solve it. If, however, the game starts and ends, regardless of the result, no protest will be accepted on the problem detected, because when you agree to play the game, you assume and accept that condition completely. Protests about any irregularity / problem must be accompanied by evidence (capture, images, combat code ...) that demonstrate the accusations made.

The use of the protest function incorrectly can be penalized.

7.1. Administration

All participants must comply with the decisions and rules of the tournament organization, administrators and referees. All decisions are irrevocable except in those that can be appealed. Discussions between administrators, referees and participants are confidential. Posting or sharing these conversations is totally prohibited unless you have permission from the administration.

8. Penalty Point Catalogue
