These are the rules for the Clash Royale Challenger Series Cup #48 Europe. We make every effort to ensure the rules are complete and up to date but this may not always be the case. You should also check the Info Page and News for additions, exceptions and modifications that may apply. The rules are a guideline and the decisions by admins may differ from them depending on the circumstances. If you have any questions about the rules, please write a support ticket.

1. Cup rules
1.1. Game account
All players participating in the Clash Royale competitions must enter their Clash Royale ID as a game account. The ID of the game is necessary to invite the contestant to play the match and to check if the correct participant is playing. To participate in tournaments organized by ESL, you must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a registered player on the ESL Play platform.
- You must have an active Clash Royale account and add it to your ESL profile as a game account.
1.2. Default Victory / No show
Once you have tried to contact your opponent during the first 10 minutes of the game, you can request the default victory. Please open a protest in your match page. In some cases the admin can decide, depending on the circumstances, if the match should be played.
Both players are responsible for entering the results correctly on the ESL page. Therefore both players have to take a screenshot at the end of the game, where the final result can be clearly visualized, this must be subsequently uploaded on the ESL page. If you have a problem or conflict in your match, please open a protest, the administration team can review your case and make a decision. The decision may also imply that both players are disqualified, if there is not enough evidence to determine a clear winner.

In the event of a tie, a new game must be played to determine the winner.
1.5. Players drops
If a player loses his connection during a battle in progress, he will lose that battle. Note: a match consists of a maximum of 5 battles. The player has 5 minutes to reconnect after his loss of connection, otherwise he will lose the entire match.
1.6. Leave / Forfeit
During the competition a player who is online, has played at least 1 battle but does not respond during the next 10 minutes to any of the means of contact of ESL Play (Chat, protest or personal message), will receive a default defeat for the rest of pending battles. Note: please keep in mind that neither the player nor the administration are forced to contact you through all means.
2. Match rules
2.1. Tournament settings
- Format: 1on1 (Best of 5 games)
- Basic friendly battle 1vs1
- Play time: 3 minutes (+3 extra)
- Level of cards/towers: To tournament rules
- Arena: Any
- Fixed deck order: No
2.2. Clash Royale Game Integration
When the tournament starts, an automated in-game friendly battle invitation will be sent to both the players of every match. The invitation will last 5 minutes in which the players have to accept it, in order for the match to start. This procedure will be repeated until one of the players gets to three wins. In case that one or both players do not accept the in-game friendly war invitation, a new one will be sent which will last five more minutes. If the second invitation expires as well, the match will close in favor of the player that was present. If neither of the players was present, they will both get disqualified.Note: If your mobile device goes in standby mode, or it’s screen locks while the Best of 5 series is not finished, the player has to open a Protest Ticket providing proof of the current score.
2.3. Assigned clan is full
In the event that the clan that has been assigned to your match is full, players should contact each other through the Chat of their ESL match and decide which other official clan to enter to compete.
In the case that one of the players is in the clan but the other can not enter because it is full, the player who can not enter must contact his opponent through the Chat of his ESL match to decide on another official clan in which to access.
2.4. Decks and cards
Players can use any card they wish in their deck. A player can change his deck between battles.
2.5. Decks and Friendly Battles
- For each best of 5 game, each player needs to send a friendly battle invitation.
- The player on the left on the match page will create the first battle request.
- The player on the right hand will be responsible for creating the second friendly battle request.
- The player on the left side will create the third battle.
- The player on the right side will be responsible for creating the fourth friendly battle request if necessary.
- The player on the left will be responsible for creating the fifth friendly battle request if necessary.
3. Match Media
All match media (screenshots, demos, etc) must be kept for at least 14 days. In general, you should upload the match media from a match to the match page as soon as possible. Faking or manipulating match media is of course forbidden and will result in severe penalties. Match media should be named clearly based on what it is. It is not possible to file a protest or write a support ticket to complain about bad match media naming. However, if an admin is hindered in his work because of bad match media names, penalty points can be assigned.

3.1.1. Scoreboard Screenshots
The screenshots or images that show the final scoreboard of the game, victory or scoreboard, are mandatory. A screenshot of the scoreboard at the end of each match must be taken and uploaded to the match page. . The manipulation of the screenshot may lead into penalty points:
- (a) Warning,
- (b) Hide scoreboard, statistics: 1-2 penalty points,
- (c) modify result from a match: 4-6 penalty points
3.1.2. Missing screenshots
A missing screenshot can lead to a penalty points for each player and the match result decided by the admin team. Punishment is as following:
- (a) Warning,
- (b) 1 penalty point for each player
An incomplete screenshot can lead to 1 penalty point or a warning for each team/player. Missing an screenshot can lead to disqualification or match suspension in the case that the administrators cant get all the information to be able to decide a result.
Please submit a support ticket for any assistance during the cup. Our staff from ESL Play will answer as soon as possible. In the case that you need to ask for assistance for any problem during the game, you must open a match protest. Protests have to be filled within 10 minutes after the match finish, otherwise they may not be used to influence the result. Whenever you have a problem, try to get in contact with the staff, before, during and at the end of the match.
If you have detected an irregularity or problem before starting the game you must open a protest to solve it. If in spite of this they start and finish the game, regardless of the result, no protest will be accepted about the detected problem, because when you agree to play the game, you assume and accept this condition completely. The protests about any irregularity / problem must be accompanied by the evidence (capture, images, combat code ...) that show the accusations made.

The use of the protest function incorrectly can be penalized.
Look for your game and click in the option in your summary match.
All participants must adhere to the decisions and rules of the tournament organizers, admins, and referees. All decisions are final, except in cases where the option to appeal is clearly stated. Conversations, either verbal or written, between organizers, admins or referees, and participants are confidential. Publicly posting or sharing these conversations with outside parties is strictly forbidden, unless permission is obtained.
5.1. Acceptance and data exchange
If you are competing in tournaments that give prizes, you agree that you meet the requirements and you are eligible to receive the reward. In turn, you agree to share your information with the person responsible for delivering the prizes to the winning player(s).
5.2. Delivery deadlines
All that prize outside the game (cash, gift cards, etc.) will have a time of 30 to 90 days to be delivered. If this time has elapsed, the prize in question is not received, the captain (or the player, in case of being a 1on1) must open a support ticket informing the administration about the situation.
6. Penalty Point Catalogue
In general, a player and the team can receive up to 6 penalty points per match, unless a single violation has a higher punishment. A team is only punished once per violation, regardless of how many players. Where a player or team receives penalty points for multiple violations, the penalty points are added together.

Matches get only deleted if the team/player violating the rules won the match.
