UEL Upcoming Cups

What is UEL?

The University esports league, powered by IAG, is a nationwide eSports tournament supported by Australia’s best and brightest tech employers. The UEL brings together students from all walks of life and a variety of different employers and is open to everybody, from students who actively live and breath technology, to those who aren’t aware of how they too would be perfect for roles in this space.

Play games and level up your career with some of Australia’s best tech employers.

Here's how it works:

  1. Enter the UEL
  2. Make your way through your cups
  3. Meet a bunch of employers along the way
  4. Play in the prelims
  5. Finalists will be flown to Sydney to play in the finals

Eligibility Criteria

This event aims to bring together Australia’s best tech employers and university students who are into their games. Competitors must meet the following criteria:

  • Studying at an Australian Tertiary Institution
  • Must still be studying in 2017

There are no restrictions on degree types as long as you have an interest in technology, games and meeting a great bunch of companies.

How to Enter

Do I need to play in all cups?
No. Each of the four cups (for all titles) are individual cups which each seed two players/teams into the playoffs. You may compete in as many or little as you wish. Once you qualify for the playoffs you are ineligible to compete in remaining cups.

Do teams need to comprise of people from the same University?
No. Teams may be made up of people from a variety of eligible Universities, the only limitation is said people must be currently enrolled to study in 2017.

Can you define "studying"?
Studying means either enrolled in a bachelor course of short course. If you are enrolled but will not be studying a course during the UEL timeline we will need to consider your eligibility in a case by case basis.
