Announcing the BenQ Zowie eXTREMESLAND 2017 ANZ Qualifier
Providing Australian and New Zealand CS:GO competitors the chance to participate in the $100,000 eXTREMESLAND 2017 Asia Cup!


ESL Australia and BenQ ZOWIE are proud to officially announce the Qualifier for the BenQ ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2017 Asia Cup for Australia and New Zealand. As an open qualifier, any player from the Oceanic region is eligible to compete over a 3 week period for their chance to qualify for the BenQ ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND event in Shanghai, China. 16 teams from 14 regions will compete for their share of the $100,000 USD prize pool. The Final event will take place on the 19th to 22nd of October, 2017.

The ANZ Qualifier will be divided into three components; the two online stages will take place on the weekend of Saturday the 22nd of July and Sunday the 6th of August. The online component of the tournament will provide the opportunity for new and lesser known teams a chance to prove their talents in an easily accessible, open format. A total of four teams will progress from the online open stages to the closed qualifiers.

The Offline Stage of the ANZ Qualifier will take place at ESL Studios, Sydney on the 9th of September. We are pleased to announce that Chiefs ESC and Grayhound Gaming (formerly Team Immunity) have been invited directly to the live finals where they will face the two teams that successfully advance through the online qualifier. The crowned champion of the ANZ Qualifier will be awarded the Australian invite to the BenQ ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND finals in Shanghai with flights and accommodation included.

  • Tainted Minds

  • Dark Sided

  • Legacy Esports

  • King Gaming

  • The top two placing teams from the Closed Online Qualifiers will be invited to the ANZ Regional Final.

    Invited teams to the ANZ Regional Final (Offline):
  • Chiefs.ESC

  • Grayhound Gaming (formerly Team Immunity)

  • The ANZ Regional Final will be played in a 4-team, single elimination Best of 3 format.
