League of Legends - $500,000 for the entire season
A total of $500,000 is given out as prize money for League of Legends throughout the current season 2012/13. The World Championship at CeBIT 2013 will have a prize pool of $150,000 with $60.000 going to the winner.

The season started at gamescom where the Riot Games Season 2 Regional Finals were hosted by Intel Extreme Masters. The second stop was at SITEX in Singapore and rendered the first Intel Extreme Masters event in the country. Upcoming stops will happen in Cologne, December 14th to 16th; Katowice, Poland, January 18th to 20th and Sao Paulo, Brazil at Campus Party 2013, on January 28th to Febuary 3rd.

Intel Extreme Masters World Championship

The Intel Extreme Masters World Championship will feature the winners of each Intel Extreme Masters stop of the season along with the top of the ranking clash for the grand prize pool of $150,000 USD - a total of 12 of the world's best teams will be competing.

The reining champion Moscow 5 are already qualified again, together with Polish team MeetYourMakers.

The next chance for teams to qualify for the World Championship is the upcoming Intel Extreme Masters Cologne, taking place December 14th to 16th in the ESL Arena in Cologne, Germany. Tickets to the event are still to be had!
