The World Championship kick-off with StarCraft II
The Intel Extreme Masters World Championship start today. For five days Hall 23 at CeBIT will be the focus of the eSports world as the best teams and players of the season fight for the titles and a grand total of $250,000. Tuesday is all about StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm as Groups A and B of the tournament take place.

Shaun 'Apollo' Clark, who had already commentated last year's Intel Extreme Masters World Championship, will be returning to bring you top-notch commentary alongside our very own James 'Kaelaris' Carrol and Yoan 'ToD' Merlo, who had his debut as an analyst and commentator for Intel Extreme Masters Katowice.

The discussion at our StarCraft II analysis desk will be lead by John 'JoRoSar' Sargent, who will be joined by Intel Extreme Masters Katowice favourite and complexity player Kevin 'qxc' Riley and fnatic's Kevin 'Harstem' de Koning.

Star observer Michael 'Adebisi' van Driel will be joining us for the ingame camera work.

Intel Extreme Masters World Championship

The Intel Extreme Masters World Championship will feature a total cash prize of $250,000 for League of Legends and StarCraft II. Players and teams from all over the world have qualified through the various stops around the globe and will clash at CeBIT, Hanover, March 5th to 9th.
