HSC IV Finalists go to the World Championship
Number of Finals participants raised from 16 to 24
The two finalists of the next HomeStoryCup will qualify for the World Championship in March 2012. Furthermore the top 16 players at the HomeStoryCup will receive points for the Intel Extreme Masters ranking which is the basis for the remaining invites next to the directly qualified players.
Because of this the number of participants for the World Championship will be increased from 16 to 24.
The fourth edition of the famous HomeStoryCup from TakeTV will take place from the 5-8th of January 2012 and will be hosted, as usual, at TaKe's apartment in Krefeld, Germany. An international line-up of 32 StarCraft II players, all living and playing in one apartment creates an event that is one of a kind among the ESL Events and in the world. Open qualifiers for the HomeStory Cup were held in order for the event to be able to provide ranking for the Intel Extreme Masters season.
Currently 21 of the 32 players that will take part in the HSC IV are known after the first invites have been published and the qualifiers for America, Europe and Korea finished.
