Manuel Hoedemakers, Senior Manager ESL UK, on the prize money:

Dear community,

As you can see we have fully commited ourselves again with a second season to bring you the best UK esports live in your home and supporting a variaty of games. ESL UK has been overwhelmed with the responce of the community on our first season and it was an obvious decision to continue, since both the players and fans enjoyed the matches on ESL TV and the Finals in London.

However as you might notice, we feel one community needed a wake up call as they did not live up to their reputation they are well known for in the European scene. It is my sincere hope to see the full strength of this community at work in the upcoming season of the Pro and Amateur Series.

I wish every player, spectator, fan and sponsor a great second season and we are all looking forward to thrilling matches in Counter-Strike: Source, Call of Duty 4, Quake 3 Arena and Trackmania Nations Forever!
