WCS Europe Challenger is ready to start - without MVP
All Challengers have been determined and the race to the WCS Global Finals will be opened next week on Tuesday, January 21st. Saturday and Sunday saw the final two qualifiers, where fourteen new players emerged to get their spot in the 2014 WCS. - One of which was the winner of the first ever major StarCraft II tournament back in 2010 (IEM Cologne at gamescom): MorroW, who never before qualified for WCS.
Sunday's final Wildcard Qualifier was the only chance for new Korean players to make their way into WCS Europe, as the previous qualifiers were exclusively for citizens of the European region, Middle East and Africa. However, the Korean hopefuls had their dreams of qualifying shattered as they went up against a strong European crowd. Even reigning IEM World Champion, YoDa, and runner-up, First, were unable to make it.

Qualifiers are underway and Season 1 of the 2014 World Championship Series Europe is ready to fire its starting shots and start the race to the WCS Global Finals. We'd like to present the schedule for the upcoming months of WCS Europe, including all Challenger matches as well as Premier League's Round of 32.

Having gathered the most WCS points in WCS Europe 2013, MVP takes duckdeok's place and advances to the Premier League. MVP's and Lucifron's Challenger spots have been filled with the seventh and eighth place finishers of yesterday's Wildcard Qualifier.
