Gamescom, Singapore, Cologne, Katowice, Sao Paulo were our touchstones players all around the globe had to take to qualify for CeBIT, where this season culminated in the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship. Over five days 24 players and 12 teams competed to become the new World Champion in StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm and League of Legends and $250,000.

The final day of the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship has arrived. Today the new champions will be crowned in League of Legends and StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm. In each game a new champion will be determined after the reigning ones got eliminated from the tournament.

The Intel Extreme Masters will have a new League of Legends champion. Gambit Gaming, the reigning title winners, were eliminated on the fourth day of the tournament by Korean team CJ Entus Frost. In StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm the Korean players are showing dominating. Only one foreigner remains in the tournament, Ret from the Netherlands.

The group stage is over. 18 teams and players remain in the tournament on their quest to take the title. For some the jouney will be over today. Both CJ Entus teams are facing European opponents in the first round of the playoffs.

In StarCraft II: Hearts of the Swarm four Europeans and four Koreans are in the first playoff round, with four more Koreans waiting for the winners in the quarter finals.

Playtime is over! After three days the groupstage has finished. 24 StarCraft II players and twelve League of Legends teams from all over the globe tried to get into the playoffs, only half of them managed to do so. Today the final playoff participants have been determined.

The last day of the group stage has begun. One more group in StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm and League of Legends will be played for the final playoff spots. Among todays participants are names like Mvp, Stephano, Grubby, MeetYourMakers, SK Gaming and Evil Geniuses.

Friday and Saturday will be all about the playoffs and the grand final to crown the new world champions of the Intel Extreme Masters.

Koreans owned white dudes once again and not just in StarCraft II. Day 2 marked the start of our League of Legends tournament with the first six teams in group A competing for three playoff spots. On our StarCraft II stage six players from Europe and Korea tried to follow yesterday's winner into the playoffs.

It's the first day of the World Championship and the reigning champion is already eliminated. StarCraft II's group A & B were filled with top-notch players, five of them being mighty Koreans.
