With the new ESL Pro Series editions in Europe, the next season of the ASUS European Nations Championship and Intel Extreme Masters IV, the total prize money of the year 2010 will amount to much more than a half million Euro.

On Monday we announced our new European female league, the ESL Female League Europe! Today we want to give everyone out there more information about how to qualify. Like we did in the past we created an so called country ranking based on the performance of teams in the last seasons. In this case the last seasons are from the ESL Major Series. Based on that country ranking we distribute slots to each country. Within the next weeks the countries will host national qualifiers for the teams.

Last Tuesday the fifth season of the ESL Major Series finished where the Swedish girls around Mayra 'IpSa' Perez from Pink Zinic crowned them self as champions for the third time and the second time in a row. Afterwards we announced that it was the last season with Counter-Strike 1.6 female, but this is not the end of Counter-Strike 1.6 female in the European section as today we can announce a new league, the ESL Female League Europe! The system will stay the same, but the rest will be bigger.

With immediate effect the barrage for New Penalty Points will be given for reaching 4, 8 and 10 penalty points. Therefore, from now on the 2 weeks barrage will be given after obtaining 8 penalty points and not 9 penalty points. The changes are effective immediately and are not backdated. All already given penalty points and barrages will not be changed.
