ENC Finals at the ESL Intel Arena
24 countries took part in European Nations Championship 2006. Only four are left now in each of the three disciplines. With 50,000 Euro of prize money the Finals require a special setting. They will take place in the ESL Intel Arena at Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany. Games Convention is the biggest gaming festival in Europe with about 150,000 people attending the four-day show.
The ESL Intel Arena is the biggest booth at this year's Games Convention with 2,500 m². With two large stages and a special eSports cinema with high-tech equipment, it offers a superb experience to all spectators. There will be extensive on-site and TV coverage by GIGA, so viewers both at home and at the ESL Intel Arena can fully enjoy the exciting matches.
The ENC Finalists will move in to the ENC camp for the four-day duration of the tournament. Everything will be done to ensure that the national teams have all they need to give their best. Each day, they will be playing in front of thousands of fans that are cheering for their country's team.
From the 24th to 27th of August at the ENC Finals location in the ESL Intel Arena (Hall 3) lots of attractions are on offer. Gaming stations show off the latest games. The Intel Racing Tour makes a stop at the booth. You can drive a racing game in a rebuilt version of the BMW Sauber F1 car and have the chance of winning a BMW M6.
Besides the ENC Finals there is lots of eSports to watch. The German ESL Pro Series - presented by Intel - starts off into its ninth season with top games at the Intel Friday Night Game. Also, a special new European tournament will be presented for the first time to the public: The Core 2 Extreme Masters by ESL.
On Saturday there will be a special honoring. For the third time the Electronic Sports League presents the annual eSports Awards. The ceremony takes place in the ESL Intel Arena in the evening hours.
